El ante es la parte interna del cuero, lijada para lograr una textura suave y homogénea. Proviene de granjas en la región de Rio Grande do Sul y se curte en Brasil sin químicos dañinos ni prohibidos. VEJA utiliza tintes que cumplen normativas y prioriza el uso responsable del agua durante el proceso de curtido. Este ante se recubre con aceites hidrorrepelentes libres de PFC para proteger las zapatillas de lluvias ligeras.
